Green-veined White
Yesterday I left my bed early for the first time this year to make photographs. This Green-veined White was one of my "victims" that morning. I did try to play with the light to get only the contouring of this butterfly. But do to the gray weather that did not succeed. So I did use a little fill in flash to make the dewdrops visible al over the body.

All C&C welcome.

Exif : 180 mm, 1/50 sec, F9.0, ISO: 100, flash 1/32nd of full power, manual.

It's soaked
It looks a bit dark on my monitor Tom.
Did you take any in portrait format with just the one plant?, I reckon that would have looked good
Well done.

Geoff.

Beautiful shot Tom :toast:

stunning background I might be tempted to lose the left hand reed as I cannot decide if it drags attention from the subject.

it's well taken Tom, though I'm not sure about the composition. I think a single stem may have worked better.

Because all of you are unanimous about the compo (and a few photoclubmembers also) one of the photoclubmembers has made a new compo with one stem.

Hi Tom

I prefer the first shot you showed. Maybe a bit more fill light in post processing but no biggy on my equipment... I think the second shot posted could do with more space on the left.
