Last light on Centennial Peak of the LaPlata Mtn. range captured last evening near the trailhead for Sharkstooth Peak.
Just killin' time 'til I can get back out into the desert.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated as always.

Oh man, you don't know how close I was to going to this very spot, John. My friends from Arkansas had planned to stay in Durango, but didn't. Otherwise...
Geez, I love this shot! I've only ever shot it at midday, and then headed somewhere else. The light is sublime, and I love the trees framing the scene.

Thanks, Todd.
Seems like we always miss each other by that much!

Hey John, I'd venture to say you need to spend more time in the mountains if you're gonna create stunning images like this one. Nice!!
You didn't just kill time, you murdered it! Awesome shot, and TC is dead on with the framing by the trees and the fantastic light! The reflection is killer, too.

Sweet shot John!..Lovely light you captured here. Think you need to spend more time in the mountains and keep you out of the heat.

Great shot! That's a beautiful peak; I love the lines in the mountain, more so when reflected like this!
What a peak! I do like the stripey ones. And what a reflection, and light! I could live without the snag hitting both edges, but since it's symmetrical it works better than if it were just one side or the other.

Sweet shot John!! The light is soft as well as the colors. Very peaceful.
This is as about as good as it gets, John. Love it!

Thanks so much for the kind words!
I'll have to look at some images from Paradise Divide, as I've never been there (..yet).

Your desert mastery certainly carries over nicely to the mountains, John. This is a beauty!

Very nice reflection and composition. Do you have any more sky atop to include that is mirrored in the reflection that would still be colorful enough to be worth including?

Exception quality of light on display here. Well done. Feel like I'm standing there.

That's about as good as a photograph deserves to get, John. Well done!

I can't believe how much this looks like Paradise Divide north of Crested Butte!

This is an extremely beautiful scene composed very nicely. The light is perfect. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice indeed. Love the mirror. Might want to clone out some of the FG grass, but otherwise I would leave it.
I'm with Don - at first glance, I asked myself, "Is this Paradise Divide?"
