One from yesterday the Male Kingfisher that only stayed briefly, probably less than 5 minutes, I always love to see them though, the jewel of all birds

I had one sat right next to head without knowing the other day....its only when it got disturbed by a dog that I saw the azure blue catch my eye. Another nice shot of a kingfisher Karen.

Thanks Jules can t do much about where he landed, it is cropped, and I haven t done much sharpening to it I think I am finding with the MK4 I am getting more detail than I ever did maybe thats it, cheers for the input though, I certainly don t mind you saying thats what this forum is all about and will certainly take another look at it

Jules you took the words right out of my mouth, I did say it could be the light it seemed to bring every little detail out of him especially down his back and on his head which I find does happen with these birds, but thanks for the comments once again
Love the detail and the subtle colour differences here!

No probs with the sharpness IMO Karen and as Jules mentions, you have held the collar very well which is something I can never seem to do, I'm just starting out on my Kingfisher journey so It's always a pleasure to view your superb KF shots.

Ok, maybe the perch could have been nicer but you have to shoot what's there.
The background is lovely.
Well done.
Geoff.
Lovely bird on a lovely background.
