Not my best photo of a red squirrel ever.
I hate posting photos of them feeding, but that's all I could get today.
I've been spending all week in the hide trying to get her with a mushroom.

Tomorrow I'll be out again. I'm going to try swap the rock for a mossy log and the mushroom for a red one with white spots, assuming they have grown by the morning!

Keep at it Will I am sure you will get the shot you want, the colour of the squirrel is lovely but there is to much going on in the image, so if you can get him on a log it will look much better

Hi Will. You need to get a bit more distance between your squirrel on a log and your background (to throw it more oof).It looks a bit cluttered at the moment.
Keep at it.

P.S You may find your red/white fungi(Fly Agaric?) is too colourful and may 'compete' too much with the squirrel.Sometimes less is more!

Hi Phil.
Yeah thanks for that ! I really hate this photo but my stepdad wanted me to post it haha =p

I'm in the hide now, just found a plain red mushroom! The old log is behind he mushroom, and the squirrel will come infront of it but so close that it won't be out of focus. This will be too busy?

Also slight possibility of coming o Scotland sometime! May be giving you a ring :p

Hi Will,

Glad to see you working away at your images. I am looking forward to seeing how this project develops.
