Closest Dunes to Dallas, Texas

greetings, i'm hoping some of you can suggest the closest place to shoot big sand dunes from dallas texas. i know of Monahans State Park at a distance of ~400 miles and Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado at ~700 miles. just wondering if there are any closer.

Hi Scott, I live in Abilene and those are the closest I know of. We have lots of dunes north of here but they're covered with scrub oak. Shinnery they call it.

How far is White Sands near Albuquerque? Probably farther than Monahans.
