'Unexpected bonuses' are always nice.Looks like it's got it's eye on you as you move your tripod/camera into position but you still got your shot.Well done Maggie.

A lovely, sharp shot Maggie, I've never seen one either.
Well done.

Last time I saw one of these was 1959 in Swallowfield, Berkshire. It was hiding behind grass against a wall. I found three along the stretch of wall. Memories.

I haven't seen one for a few years, a nice find Maggie and a nice shot too. A bit more space above and to the left might improve is slightly.

A nice bonus indeed. Assuming it stayed still (often a very big assumption!) a slight rotation in your position nearer to the wall/rock could have brought even more of the body into focus. Unfortunately, easier said than done.

Thanks all.

Matt unfortunately to the left were lots of pieces of grass and to the top another but OOF lizard. There were 4 in all so it made things a little difficult.
David where they were I couldn't get into any other position but might go back and try again.
Appreciate your comments.
