A Migrant Hawker from yesterday evening whilst out looking ( unsuccessfully ) for Hares
I took several males but this one seemed to have a damaged leg, did not seem to worry him though
D700
200-400 f4 with 1.4TC
1/800 sec at f9 ISO 400
Hand held

Well done Ian, this was a difficult shot to capture.
I like the background too, it's very pleasing.
Well done

Very well done Ian.
Mind you,I'm not surprised you didn't find any hares. You were looking UP in the wrong place!

Did you try the field before the pub? As already said nice BG and well captured in-flight shot.

very good technique Ian and a lovely background too. It's strange to see the leg dangling like that, not something I've seen before.

The background is excellent and agree the dangling leg is weird but it doesn't detract from the image for me. The hares will keep for another day.
