Light is superb. I do agree with John R that it would be better shot in portrait. I'm sure you did some too though :toast: :toast: :toast:

Very 3D-like, it really pops out at you. Excellent image.

I missed your bank vole first time round, the set-up gives me much food for thought, If I get results half as good as your bank vole I'll be satisfied :wavey:

Hi,

I managed a few in portrait format too but with a slightly different setting and background.

Thanks David. Best of luck with your project

I like the landscape version Justin as the OOF heather and yellow flowers provide a lovely setting for the Deer. :wavey:

Are you still using the sidekick btw sir?

Hi Julian,

Yes I still use it and I'm still very, very happy with it. I usually just use the Arca ballhead on it's own when I'm photographing deer though, as it's much quicker having to just loosen the one knob, as opposed to having to loosen the main one on the sidekick, the ballhead's panning knob and level the lens, which is a little awkward and slow when your constantly on the move. Love the Sidekick when shooting from a fixed position though.
I hope you're getting on well with your Wimberley :wavey:

Nice light colour and detail Justin the small version doesn't do it justice.
