With cooler temps forecast for this Saturday, I thought I might head over to Richland Creek this weekend to do the trail maintenance on our section from the campground to Drury Hollow. Anyone that wants to help would be appreciated.

I have to work or I'd be there.

No problem, John. I'm glad you could make it out there the last time.
I'll probably walk all the way to Drury Hollow and then start working my way back clearing the trail and replacing any blazes that are missing. I'll have a report on Sunday to let everyone know the condition, and how far I got.

Thanks, Matthew and Tom. Maybe you guys will be able to help out next time.
Out section was in good shape - no major trees or limbs to clear - just smaller stuff that has grown up this year, and a few blazes to replace. It looks like our section saw quite a bit of use last spring - many hikers from out of state, from as far as Maryland. It really is a beautiful section of trail AND easy to hike and maintain. I was able to do the whole stretch, so we should be good until spring.
Here's a shot of Richland - not much water right now. Hope you're getting a ton of keepers in Alaska, Tom - anything from Denali yet? Matthew - where have you been hiding lately?
Good to hear about the trail. I'm not hiding just been very busy lately. Work was pretty crazy most of the summer and I had a couple personal/family things come up. Don't worry though I still watch the forum pretty closely. Work is slowing down and fall is approaching so everyone should be seeing more of me pretty soon.
