Indian Beach at Ecola (full or Sq?)
Right after this shot, the sun went behind the bank of fog/haze whatever it was out there that stole the color from the sky. It seemed like such a perfect day, but there was a storm coming (that's with us now) that stole the sunset... have to go back again soon.

I did additional post compared to an earlier version I posted at FM.....

comments appreciated

I also did it in square format - which do you prefer ?

The square format is much better comp wise...but the highlights could use a lot more zing. I took the liberty (hope you dont mind) of roughly working this to show you what I mean...

FM... eeecchhh!!.....

I like Ricks take, I think it helps a bunch.. and also the square crop looks pretty good too...

You've capture some great wave action! :toast:

Hmmm, well, my two cents are to take a little off the top and sharpen and contrast just a hair to the first one.

Heh, it's funny. I actually had an original version of this that had the higher contrast and highlights that you guys are requesting. But it didn't look true to what I saw when I was there. So I went back and added more haze and rock detail back in because it was pretty hazy out there.

Rick I appreciate the edit (feel free to do so anytime) - it's a bit too much for me, but I like where you took it.

Thanks Ned, John and Mark for adding your thoughts.

I still like FM a lot - some talented people and friends I've made from their outings are there. But I appreciate the "Band of PNW Brother" vibe here too. I'm glad it's not an either or situation........

John,
I myself Like yours better(the square version) with maybe a third of the contrast that Rick applied.. The foreground and midground are larger and more detailed in exchange for less sky... I've never posted over on Fred Miranda but I do sometimes like to look throught their posts.
