Female Common Darter
One from Monday. Perch isn't ideal but I liked the BG on this one.

Hi Maggie,

I agree, the BG is very nice, looks like you have handled the light well and captured some great detail, especially in the legs and head.

Really liking this Maggie, good light, good background and good sharpness only thing that cold improve it wold be a bit more space at top and tail side, cold yougrow the canvas to do that? But a superb shot none the less :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast:

You've certainly got the detail in this one, the pink adds a nice touch to the background, very nice.

I agree that slightly more surround would help, but still a great picture that you should be pleased with.

I do like it when Darters adopt this 'tail up' pose, it's always very photogenic I think. You've captured this very nicely Maggie. A bit tight in the frame and a little soft at the end of the abdomen, but they're minor nits.

Good image Maggie and the perch doesn't spoil the image for me.

Thanks all. I have no excuse about more room. I did have it and cropped it too tight
