Barn owl (c)
I am not normally a huge fan of captive shots, but finding my portfolio severely lacking in owl pictures I recently attended a Bird of Prey Workshop with the hope of filling in some of the gaps. The weather was not great, but it was good to meet several people who up until now had only been UKNP names to me, and I thoroughly enjoyed my day. I shall probably post several shots from this outing, but so far have only had time to process a tiny handful of the many photos I took.

This is my favourite so far.

Nothing wrong with this. A nice image, workshops can be really good fun, and some good images come from them, even though it's a controlled environment.

Paul. :wavey:

It's a good looking image David, very good job on the whites too and no nits.

Shaun,

If I understand the rules of the site properly, I am not supposed to post details of workshops on it. I can see why the rule exists, but in some respects it is a shame as I would at least like to thank those involved. Drop me an e-mail and I will gladly furnish details.

Captive or not, a beautiful portrait David. I shouldn't mind attending a workshop to get an image like this. I certainly have never managed to get any in the wild.
