Nice shot and lovely colours Jeff but looks well over sharpened this end.

Cheers Dale - you're absolutely right about the sharpening. My standard workflow is to process for printing at A4/A3 and to sharpen accordingly. When it comes to web posting I'm afraid I'm rather forgetful (or perhaps I should say lazy  ) about re-processing

Processed correctly for web and this will be a beauty Jeff, love the POV and the lighting.

The image as posted, looks like a hand drawn illustration and I have to say Jeff, I like it very much, think I'd be tempted to have both versions on file.

A lovely image, but as the others have pointed out, way too much sharpening, which detracts from the image in my opinion!

Paul. :wavey:

Yes, potentially a stunner - I'd love to see it reworked.

It's all been said.
It's still a great image though

Its a great shot but the sharpness is too much.
I would like to see a new version.

I think you should keep this version as an artistic interpretation with a stronger vignette (maybe a B&W conversion too) and also reprocess another version with less sharpness. A nice composition though.

Certainly different - well composed and I like the POV. Nits covered.

The angle certainly shows the wonderful plumage colours off very well. Perhaps would have preferred to see a little more of the birds face, but saying that, I do like how the bird is oblivious to your presence and the way he seems to be concentrating on something in the distance.
Needs re-processing to do the image justice, but I'm sure the original looks fine.
