Just had a great day out with fellow UKNP member Barry Southon showing him around The Netherlands working on my Roe Deer site in first light then Dragonflies in flight and on birds like this Buzzard in the afternoon.
This is an amazing character as we could crawl up to this guy untill 5 meters from him.
Hope tomorrow will bring us another great day and for now here's one of the Buzzard shots i got today.
Beautiful shot Jeroen, the look of this bird is great.
You were lying flat in the grass?

A very unusual pose, looks like he's doing his pre-flight exercises
Well done, must be difficult to creep up on anything with a 600mm lens
Geoff.

Hi Geoffrey,
Actually it was hunting for Frogs wich where leaving a neaby stream. And looking at those two weird people crawling up to him..
The 600mm is a heavy beast but i'll cope....(for now... )

One of best shots of a wild buzzard I've seen...the moment is nice and the stance of the bird is different to the normal pose on branch or fence type of shot...

Nice image Jeroen, looks like it's doing that 'head rotation' thing that Owls do. At least it isn't moulting like in my image . Very different!
Paul.
