Late evening Wheatear
Taken on the Lammermuir Hill near to Longformacus in the Scottish Borders right at the death of the day, just as the sun was about to go behind the hill

Canon 7D canon 500mm f4 lens, f4 1/800sec, ISO 400

Lovely red colors in both bird and BG.
A bit more room all around would have been nice but sometimes we shoot what we can get.

greetings,

You have bags of detail in the bird Ron, just needs to be a little smaller in the frame for me too.

Hi Ron,

loads of detail in the bird could do with being smaller in the frame and not so central :toast:

Great Detail and a frame filler but maybe a tad to large in the frame for me.

Good job on catching the obliging head-turn allowing the sunlight to light the face. Would have preferred the composition with the bird over to one side and looking into some more space, but I can appreciate you don't always get the time to compose with precision with fleeting opportunities and them focus points aren't always in the best place.

A little large in frame but a good capture nevertheless. :toast:
