I may well be going to Gotland in a weeks time for a long weekend, but have struggled to find any general info on what may be about - I will be staying in Visby on the West Coast.
My gut reaction is that there will only be gulls, perhaps some of the "white winged gulls" and long tailed duck/Eider and perhaps any of the 3 sawbills (some male smew would be nice...) in the harbour and not much else.
I probably won't be hiring a car - I assume Gotland is infinately better in May especially to the south where there seem to be a number of Ramsar and reserve areas.
Just wan't to know whether it will be worth lugging any bigger lenses and heavier tripod along, or whether to stay with my lighter weight landscape kit for the medieval walls etc.
