My old monitor is beginning to fail. I'm looking for a new monitor for less than $500 to get me through another year before I upgrade my entire computer system. I was reading about the Planar PX2710MW 27-Inch LCD Monitor. It sounded pretty narn good, especially for $300. Does anyone have any experience with this monitor?

Hi Preston,
I did see the comments. I investigated the NEC. It looks very good and B&H has a great price on it. I discovered that LG makes the screen and has a model which is very similar at an even lower price. I just need to find out if the LG model has the same color calibration controls and I may buy that one instead. If not, the NEC will be my new monitor. Thanks for your reply.
