Banded Darters on Fire
Hi Guys,

Here's another from my tour around Holland with fellow UKNP member Barry Southon this weekend. I took him to a lot of places from my Roe Deer sites to Spoonbills and from the recently posted Buzzard to Snipe etc etc.

Yesterday however we went over to my favorite place to photograph Banded Darters wich is a very scarse type of Dragonfly for The Netherlands and as we got there around 06.00 o'clock the sun was just about to rise and we where able to get a nice series of backlit shots.

greetings,

Jeroen Stel

Superb lighting and subjects. Some how the two don,t sit well in the frame for me- maybe the right one too near the frame edge ? Not sure. Still nice though.

Hi Jeroen

I really like the idea and the subjects are beautifully shot, but I dont like them both together as they are too far apart and they compete for attention

I think they would make two excelllent shots.

The light here is really intense and you did well to get 2 together like this.
Either one would have made a great subject on their own, no doubt you have some of those too?
Well done.

Geoff.
