September's Photo of the Month of three snow monkeys bathing in hot springs by Marsel Van Oosten is simply a marvelous wildlife portrait. Content? Obviously. Meditating? Maybe. Great work, Marsel, and congratulations!

Our first article this month is from our publisher, Jim Erhardt, as he explains the terms of NPN's First Annual NPN Membership Drive. Here's a great opportunity to have a little fun, earn some cash, and win a $500 shopping spree at B&H Photo!

Next is our second NPN Ten Questions interview, this one with Jim and Carson Clark. Jim and Carson are an ineffable father-and-son duo with great images to share as well as an important lesson in getting our children involved in nature and the outdoors.

Alain Briot offers his Top 15 approaches to composition in the third article in this month's edition.

And Fabiola Forns breaks with conventional wisdom when it comes to bird and wildlife photography when she asks, Is getting lower always the answer?.

NPN Members are always welcome to leave a comment for any of the articles or interviews. In fact, they are strongly encouraged!

Thanks as always to this month's contributors! Enjoy your reading, everyone, and Happy Labor Day!

I couldn't forget this image Marsel ... what a connection it achieves for the viewer. And the interview with Jim & Carson is very encouraging. It sounds like being an ambassador for nature runs in the family ... and not accidentally.

Another wonderful addition Richard.
