Blue Tit
Another one from my home-made hide out in my yard, this time it's a Blue Tit.
Only a very slight crop top and left.

Sony A350
Sigma 50-500

Another good one Geoffrey and I like the attractive perch. Good job on including the end of the perch too, easy to cut a bit off in the heat of the moment.

The bird is great (as they always are) but the set up really takes it up a notch. Picking up on Justin's point and being really pernickety, it would be good to include the whole bud at the bottom. Superb image though!

Thanks guys
Yes, shame about the bottom bud but the bottom is as shot, I was aiming a bit high and had some wasted space above

My camera only has the one centre cross focus point so I have to try to get it on the bird's eye, lock focus, quickly re-compose and fire all in a split second cos as you know, they don't pose for long.

I'm waiting to upgrade to a camera which will have lots of cross-hairs, then I can choose one that's off-centre to save me doing all that, I won't know I'm born when that happens, it will be like a new start for me

I'm waiting to see what Sony are releasing in the Autumn, if they don't give me what I want then I'll switch brands cos my gear is really holding me back now.

Geoffrey, I think Ian is being incredibly pernickety about the lower bud and personally I woudl be happy to have this.Andrew
