I posted a colourversion of this image here: http://www.naturephotographers.net/imagecritique/ic.cgi?a=vp&pr=155068&CGISESSID=31872240af5eef643e61ccddf00364da&u=20408

A large block of ice is slowly melting away into the Atlantic Ocean at the black beach near the Glacierlake of Jökulsárlón in southern Iceland.

I like both for different reasons, but I'm curious to see which one you prefer!

Hi Jorne

I think the colour version is better by miles, but that is a personal view which others may not agree.

A very nice image that the purple adds to the image more than the dark sky in the B&W version in my opinion. I also think that it gives the ice more life.

Cheers
Nigel

I like the colour version for the blues in the ice but I'm not too keen on the magenta.

Jorne I think the black and white has a more natural feel to the subject the colour looking less natural in terms of how I would expect it to look.

I still think the colour version was the better of the two, but this one has a certain aura about it.

I prefer the b & w, finding the strong colour a bit overpowering in the other version. The b & w reminds me of a still from a Bergman film.

Prefer the colour one Jorne.
