REI is having their yearly 20% off sale till April 2nd.

I just bought a two hundred dollar tent and paid only one hundred sixty dollars for it. It's a great time to go out and get that expensive rain coat, pack, hiking boots or anything else expensive you need or want right now.

Thanks Mark...I've been looking for a one person tent and a 15 degree bag.

Yep, I just got a nice new pair of backpacking boots

Rick, you have to be a member and you'll get 20% off the most expensive item.

The tent I bought was the Quarter Dome. It's a small, two person backpacking tent. It's received rave reviews from Backpacker magazine.

I geeked out and bought the Garmin topo map software.

Mark - the Quarter Dome is an excellent backpacking tent. Good choice! Now we need to make sure it's put to some good use.

Too bad they won't let you use the discount on a GPS. It's a good deal otherwise though.
