Hare Extension
Canon 1dIII 500mm f4 1/125 iso800 Full frame

Hi all

Yeah, yeah, I know...another damn hare!

Interested in peoples views on the composition on this one. He cuts such a skinny pose that a lot of the frame seems a little empty.
Thoughts?

Looks fine to me
You could possibly crop a bit off the right to put the head nearer the thirds if you wanted to.
I can never decide how to crop my own photos either.
Well captured.

Geoff.

Nowt wrong with a good Hare shot Simon.

another cracking shot but I would also vote for a bit off the right hand side

Leave it as it is. Too many "on the thirds" images as it is. Rules are meant to be broken. Andrew

Lovely shot Simon. If it was mine, I would have been kicking myself for having the camera the wrong way around yet again, but it's still a winner imo.

That was my initial thought as well, Eric. At the time I did have the presence of mind to keep the focus on him and then tilt the camera and take an 'air shot' so I do have the option of stitching together a portrait version. And I wouldn't be losing any pixels - which is the aim of the game in my book! I hate cropping - its lazy photography!

Simon

I agree with Eric this image would be on another level if it had been portrate. Next time perhaps.

Still a very good shot.

Both crops would work for me Simon but I would like to see it vertical as the hare is staring straight out of the image.

Cheers

Agreed - a wee bit off the right. Hilarious pose!

Hi Simon. I would go for portrait but would be happy to have captured this in any composition. :wavey:
