I saw this in the newspaper this week. Pretty cool.

I've never considered storm caused waterfalls as true waterfalls. As the article states, ephemeral waterfalls lasting but a few hours should probably be in a separate category from waterfalls that last for weeks or months or years. I've witnessed 3 flash flood waterfalls in the Grand Canyon in one trip, and photographed one of them (about 200 feet vertical), but never considered calling them a waterfall. To me, they were just flash floods. Best of luck to Tom in getting it recognized, though.

Very informative article. Never gave much thought on how long a waterfall has to flow to be considered legitmate.

Tough call. While it is water and it is falling, it's so transitory that, like Don said, should be some other classification. Regardless, that's a very cool shot.

Cool shot, but that's not a real waterfall.

Guess I need to plan my next trip to Dead Horse when rain is predicted. Cool capture though.

What a thrill it would have been to have seen this, eh?

It would be a great site to see but I wouldn't consider it a waterfall.
