Wild Mountain Lillies
Driving down a dirt road lead me to this nice little meadow full of wildflowers. A paved road might of done the same though. Let me know if any color adjustment or dodging and burning is necessary.

Southern Cascade Range

Got an HDR version if anyone is interested in seeing it.

Side note, don't forget to check out the CANP Fall '10 Gathering thread a few threads down.

Stunning scenic, Steve! The composition is strong throughout.
The purple flowers go so well with the orange portion of the sky.
I believe that the large boulder and that the two tall trees in the
background serve as well placed anchor points.

Very nice, Steve. This has a great sense of depth, and the color is wonderful. Definitely a great find.

Beautiful color Steve. Great comp and I really like the lower perspective; makes for a different and refreshing view.

Did you do a mulit-focus blend at all? Or is this a straight shot as far as focus DOF goes?

Real pretty scene, Steve. Wonderful flowers and nice sky to top it off. Good stuff.

Gorgeous one here, Steve. The lower angle of view seems to heighten or enhance the perspective on the DOF. Wonderful scene. It's been years since I was up there, my entire aunt's side of the family is all over that area too.

Very nice scene and light Steve. I'm not sure if I would have gotten that low of a perspective since some of the bottom of the frame is detracting my eyes from getting further into the scene.

Thanks all.

Lon, it's a single shot at f18. Hello diffraction  a little at least. There was some movement out there so I didn't want to just rely on focus bracketing so I made sure to max out the DOF before leaving the scene. f16, f18, f22.

Richard, I do like catching a low perspective for somewhat a more intimate view. Other I might feel like a giant before squooshing some flowers.

Here is an HDR version sort of side by side, HDR is on the bottom http://www.sierenphotography.com/Other/IP/7554437_jLnXL#999250488_oEwgj

Steve,
The colors look great. With that sky and endless field of FG flowers, this one is a total winner. Best Regards.
