Taken from my hide in the Winter when there was a thick covering of snow.
The Sun came out and there was so much light bouncing around that I decided to try for some landing or take-off shots rather than the usual BOAS mugshot
A big thank you to Mark Davies who kindly helped me with the processing on this shot, I had some odd pinky patches in the snowy background that I just couldn't get rid of with my basic Photoshop skills Thanks mate.
Top, bottom and right are as shot but Mark added some extra space on the left for me.
Sony A350
Sigma 50-500
1/3200th second
f7.1
ISO 400
200mm
+1 stop exposure compensation
Centre-weighted metering
Tripod
Taken as a single shot.

Great timing, producing another excellent image.

Thanks David.
When I pressed the button he was just sitting there, wings folded, the one time that shutter lag has actually been an advantage
Geoff.

Serendipity is a great friend to those it takes a shine to.

Like it very much.
If you had upgraded your camera you may have not got the shot
Well done Geoffrey.
