John Murmaw's post which included Algatha Peak reminded me of an image I did going north from Keyenta which was close to MV this spring (April).

Jeez, another awesome Monument Valley rainbow image! I didn't realize they were so frequent. Next time I'm there I will have to stir up a little o' me irish luck for a scene like this.

Quite nice. The blowing dust and/or rain give the distant peaks and especially sky a different feeling to me and how the inner blue of the rainbow cuts through the sky strikes me.

The obscurity of the background almost gives the image the look of a painting.
