Glowing Grouse
Just getting around to processing some of my images from the recent heather bloom. Light was hard to come by on most mornings but this one was an exception and the heather looked as though it had caught fire. I just need an obliging Grouse!

This one is 90% of full frame with a minor contrast boost but that's all.

1D3 500mm ISO:100 1/640 sec @ f/4

Thanks for looking

Just a sliver off the top for me, other than that ticks all the boxes .

I agree with Mark about the slight crop.
Well done.

A stunner Simon. They blend so well with the background. Lots of beautiful heather in the Peak District at the moment. Just need to find some grouse
