Excuse me es zat your Minkee ?
Another shot taken whilst waiting for a non showing Kingfisher

Saw a coot shoot out from the side of the bank at a fast rate of knots followed by this chap, the Coot got away and the Mink disappeared back into the undergrowth.

Thanks for posting the image Ian, great capture.

It does look like he's actually running on top of the water.

Much better than Tony's photo of the photo I saw at the hide this morning.

wow!

Shame the light was doing you no favours, it deserved much better for this shot, or should the mink be shot

Wehave dozens of these blighters in the Thames/Kennet catchment area but they are quite fickle and only really appear at night. So top marks for catching one in daylight like this

Great reactions as always. Well caught mate. Water spray really adds to the effect.
Glad I paid up my £8 - must make a visit.
Was Tony using his NV3?

Great action and timing - well caught. I seem to see ever more of these around here, but none walking on water as yet

It would have had to be some kingfisher shot to out-strip the interest value present in this image. Crackng natural history shot; could have only have been improved if the coot was captured fleeing the frame.

Cheers,
Chris
