White Storck + UPDATE
Hi Guys,

Barry is still working hard on his macro images from our trip, but i am allready a few steps ahead working through some of the other 3000 images we shot during our 3-day trip around The Netherlands...

We have also covered White Storck on several places and this was one of them just flippin' some insects around..
As this was in the middle of the day the light was a bit harsh but we made the best of it...

greetings,

Jeroen Stel

Just the slightest touch of colour cast creeping in , a tap on selective colour neutralises it on my monitor.
A fine capture timed superbly .

Superb timing and great pose, the light still looks pretty good to me! :toast: :toast:

Well caught Jeroen :toast: He must have to eat 1,000s of them flies in a day

Mark I tapped my monitor but it made no difference to the picture

Nice picture of a fly Jeroen - oh and the Stork isn't bad either   Agree with Mark there does appear to be a bit of a colour cast.

Good timing Jeroen, and you've controlled the whites on such a sunny day perfectly.

Des :toast: :toast:

A perfectly timed shot but I must agree that there is a bit of a colour cast.
Well done.

Geoff.

Colour cast aside, I'd be happy with this in my portfolio. I like the dynamism present here; it is often missing in bird images - ever image has to have something extra to raise it above the norm.
Nice work.

Cheers,
Chris

very well timed Jeroen and well composed too. Shame about the ring on the bird but nothing you could do about that!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your comments so far!
The color cast is propably a result of the reflecting grass on the white body.

Here's an updated version without the color cast.

greetings,

Must get a better monitor - couldn't see any colour cast! Superb timing. Andrew
