Hey yall I just rejoined and would like to post some pics,I use LR2 and the only way I know to resize my pic to post is by dragging the quality slider all the way back to about 8 or 9 to get the size down to 200kb or less.Is this the only way?I'm pretty bad with my computer skills.Help please.
Eddie - That works fine - set your pixels to the max allowed (1200 for large pix, 700 for thumbnails), hit "save" then drag the sliders to 500 or less for the large version, 200 or less for the small versions.
Glad you're back!
I am still having trouble resizing for posting.I've read lots of stuff here but I don't see anyone talking of using LR2.I have tried to pull the quality slider in the export window all the back to zero and the size is still greater than 200KB.Help please.

If your file is the proper pixel dimensions and the quality is less tha 3 or 4, AND the file size is still too big it's probably your meta data. If seen a couple of cases where the IPTC or EXIF was like 300 kb by itself. If that's being saved with you file, you won't get the size low enough no matter what. Can you get LR to save the file without any metadata or profile embedded?
