Can't let that Davies geezer have all the glory...............

The vignetting on the right was natural OoF shadow - I've just evened up with a bit on the left.

Hi Andy a very very nice image, but I'm not so keen on the thin pano.

Phil.

very nice shot, great light and setting, i think the crop works perfectly for the image, out of interest what are you feeding them?

I think the pano crop suits the low position of the fox, and lighting also adds an ominous feel to image. Nice one Andy :toast: :toast:

I love it! Fantastic light, crop, composition, everything.

Although how did you process it as it almost looks like it's been smoothed over, creating a look that doesn't look quite natural?! The grass mainly, it looks very soft and smooth like it's had to much noise ninja or something.

Jack - Mark Davies if he's not careful   in reality, good quality oily fish seems to be a preference.

Richard - I never use Noise Ninja or any other NR save for a bit of chrominance in LR3.

The shot is from off the ground - literally. The FG is all grass that's not more than a few inches in front of the lens. There's a dip in the ground between camera and subject, so all the middle FG is not in shot - that's why there's no "less OoF' grass in front of the fox.

Not too sure about the foreground on this or the wide pan crop on this one.
Might suit for publication in the right circs.

Oh John - it might might it???

Perhaps the nine people who bought A3 prints of it yesterday afternoon need educating.

Andy
At the format you showed us you could get two prints off an A3 then ? Economics great !!
This forum as I understand it is about members expessing their personal views on a picture . Not about how many the poster has sold . It doesn,t really matter if you had sold ten thousand . I have expressed my personal views which is why I paid my money and joined the forum. Any comments I make are my own personal views and if they are not accepted as such , then there is no point in posting any comments at all. The actual fox bit of the shot is OK.
