One of those great days where although the weather was not ideal the subjects decide to pose. These two Lizards spent ages on the rock and let us get really close. Visited two sites and got Black Darters and Ruddy Darters. The Ruddy Darters are well named i.e. posing on pieces of wire or lumps of bread There were also lots of Common Darters, Southern Hawkers, Migrants and Brown Hawkers around. Praying for good weather on Thursday as I have the afternoon off

Lucky to be able to work with these Maggs - every time I see one they run a mile at Mach 9 pants-on-fire (and who could blame 'em )
Nice to see two together.
Nit for me is too much OoF rock - it dominates the image a bit, but I suppose you can't help what they are perched on can you.
Also, what is that rectangular 'patch' above the head of the lizzy at the back??

Well done on getting the shot - not sure on the square crop though. Love the eye contact.

For a moment I thought you'd managed to get Danny and Andy P together .
A rare find with two together so kudos on that front. Not too sure on the crop or the dominant green grass. Spot on DOF giving the viewer a personal insight into the interaction of the two. Nice one .
Andy I hadn't noticed the rectangle but on looking on it now it actually looks like an OOF Lizard. There are normally 4 here although only 2 had appeared yesterday. I wonder if a third one popped up while I was taking this Failing that it could only be the stone/rock.
Mark unfortunately nothing can be done about the dominant green grass. Its there (loads of it all alround the stone/rock).
Simon I'm not mad on the crop either but I was trying to cut out as much grass and/or rock as possible. Pretty impossible really so this was the best I could do with it.

Nits covered, but still a lovely image though. Well done getting two in one picture.

2 together is a very nice find Maggie. They look like a real DOF challenge but you've done well to get both heads sharp. I can also see a couple of straight lines above the 2nd lizard's head - looks like you've done a bit of cloning and dragged the source over the edge of the image

You've done well in the circumstances to get these two and the Ruddy Darter comment made me smile
