A grasshopper holding on to some grass.
They wouldn't stay still for long and I lost loads of shots just as I was about to shoot, but I got this one
Minolta Dynax 7D
Tamron 90mm f2.8 macro
1/80th second
f8
ISO 400
-0.3 stop exposure compensation
Centre-weighted metering
Tripod
Cable release
Full frame as shot

A super shot Every summer I plan to set aside a couple of days to photograph these and never get round to it. Having seen this I'm kicking myself now - they're a fab subject.

You've got some gems locked away on that Hard Drive of yours mate, and this is no exeption. Good title, fab BG, and a pin sharp subject! Really good.

Paul Rosser.

very nice, the focussing/dof is just right, which is what i always fail at with macro, great colours
That is green alright A cracker Geoff. Well done for eventually getting it a blade of grass. I only ever seem to get them on vegetation where there is too much distraction.
