Beautiful scene, Larry. Any shots with more of the river shown?

That's a beautiful spot, Larry. Sherry and I have a goal to get to Alaska one day. Thanks for reinforcing that!

Bill,
I'll attach a couple of photos featuring the river. This one is up from the confluence with the Bettles River about 4-5 miles and looking upstream. This is the upper end of a gorge which runs for 1.5 to 2 miles. Very steep cliffs and deep holes with a lot of right angle turns. Makes it hard to canoe out. Basically if the river is up one walks up and over and leaves the canoe--or waits until the water goes down...

Bill,
This one is from lower down and still looking upstream.

Darren,
Besides taking the photos, living in this environment for over 2 weeks, with all its ambiance, is a unique treat and adventure.
The mundane routine of ordinary life needs to be interrupted for reality checks.
You probably know that already.
