This is just a grab shot from my trip this summer to Lassen National Park. I just couldn't resist this little sprig trying to make it surrounded by all the hot pots and sulfur. Canon G10. All comments most appreciated. Best Regards.

Makes you wonder if the little guy is going to make it. That's an awful harsh enviroment. Well seen and captured. Best regards. I'll comment here instead of ESS. That;s for your comments and critiques all along Michael.

I like the simplicity here Michael. It reminds of Muench and Fatalie's image from Joshua Tree. Great minimalist work!
I really like the color and patterns in this. You might consider other crops, though. The tree gets a tad lost in all the yellow. It's still a nice image, and I agree with Steve about the minimalist approach.
Good job!

I like the simplicity of this image, Michael.
Great color also. I agree with previously
made comments regarding the minimalist
effect. I also like the inclusion in the
upper left corner of a different color and
texture in the earth. That gives a little
more variety and helps to give me a sense
of scale.

Michael,
I had really meant to get to this over in ES&S because I think this is a wonderfully seen and captured image. I love the simple, minimalist approach and the story that's being told including that lone little sprig. I also really like the inclusion of the upper corner giving the image a sense of place and also of some sort of scale.
