Fall Color at Council Lake
Since the fall season is showing up fast now thought I would post a shot from last Oct. This was taken at Council Lake in Upper MI south of Munising. When the early morning cloud cover broke open this wonderful golden light hit the lake and made for some very nice color and reflection. Also posted in ESS. Happy Fall Shooting!

You are getting me inspired. The lake area south of Munising is a great place to shoot.

Phil, Yes, I'm really ready for it too and looking forward to it. Last year after the fall season I broke my leg and was layed up all winter. I also built a new studio and gallery space, so really didn't get much shooting in. So with those reasons I'm just really looking forward to shooting this fall season. Maybe see you some place in Upper MI.

When Council Lake is in full regalia (as in your shot) it seldom disappoints.

Really nice, Nick. I like the shimmering effect in the reflection. A refreshing difference from the usual.

Thanks much for your comments. I hope all of you have some wonderful fall shooting. I'm really looking forward to it. I can see why you would have good memories of camping around here, Cindy. Glad it brought back some nice thoughts for you.

Nice shot, Nick, very tranquil. Impatiently waiting for colors.

Thanks Bruce. I have been waiting too. I'm leaving one week from today to head for Upper MI. and Lake Superior. Will spend some time in northern WI also before coming back home to S.W.WI. Hope you have some great fall shooting.
