Woods II

Just another woods shot black and white. Comments appreciated.

Hi Cliff. I have to admit I get a little lost in this one, and not necessarily in a good way. I liked the color Woods post below (and even liked the split emphasis on ferns and vine maple), but this one seems to lack a real strong line or subject. For me, anyway, I thinks it's the vagaries of both black and white and a chaotic scene. If you cropped off the left 1/4th or 1/3rd, I think it might work better. Just a thought though....I'll be interested in what others say.

I think this photo has some potential. I would probably make it a little darker, and I'd probably play around with dodging and burning to create some depth. I think the branches coming from the right could be a lead into the image if it were darker in that area sort of left of center.

Interesting photo Cliff. I like all of the vertical and horizontal lines. The photo almost looks like an abstract to me. The top half of the image may make an interesting pano since to me, all of the interesting elements are up on top.
