Hi all,

My camera is off for its second "spa" treatment in Irvine, CA. I was wondering, though, which places have you had your camera fixed at that you trust?

My confidence is a little shaken since it is going back in to fix what wasn't fixed the first time, and also the charge for my oops in Yellowstone. I think I'd rather deal with someone locally.

Thanks!

Kevin

Knight Camera Repair in Vancouver is pretty good in my opinion. I think they have a website still if you search them.

You might also chat to Camera Solutions in Portland (John's Landing). They have handled a number of my camera repairs in the past and they are used by the various Portland area stores (along with Knight too).

Advanced Camera in Beaverton area is also totally rocking with camera cleaning and repair. A friend of mine just dropped her camera at the beach, had sand everywhere and they totally cleaned it for a killer price. I do a 6-month visit for a sensor cleaning and check-up just because it does make a difference even with cameras that have auto cleaning abilities. There is a micro layer of dust that isn't removed that over time can affect photos.... Highly recommended.

Thanks, all! Advanced Camera seems to fit the bill. FYI, not all places can deal with AF issues b/c of the special equipment needed for the digital cams.
