Central UP Fall Color Update

I took a ride up Federal Forest Highway 13 today to check on the color around the Pete's Lake and Munising areas. There's not much at Pete's, Moccasin, Red Jack, and Council Lakes - probably less than 10%. The trees along the highway were showing quite a bit more, maybe in the 30% range.

Sounds like it is getting closer.... Hope you get some good colors up that way. Still a lingering summer on the south plains and about 6 weeks from our first color change.

Should be a spectacular year for fall color here. We have had plenty of rain and warm weather this year. As long as we don't get some huge wind storm, things should be awesome toward the end of the first week of October.
