Fuji has a new compact - point and shoot, coming out early 2011.
Looks like it has a metal body, APS-C, 35mm (equiv) f/2 prime, manual/auto aperture on the lens, 12.3 MP 5fps. Looks like a promising little camera to take on those quick hike or excursions where you don't want to haul a lot of gear.
I don't get too excited about point and shoots, but this one looks kind of nifty...

This is an intriguing new camera. I've been kind of mildly interested in some of the micro four-thirds cameras and EVIL (electronic viewfinder interchangeable lens) cameras that have been released recently, but none of them really lit my fire (Don't like EVFs) . The retro styling is kinda nifty and I think I would like the analog controls. Looks like there is an aperture ring on the lens. Remember those? F2 to f16 = real aperture control unlike most digicams, plus a built-in ND filter.
I probably wont buy one of these, but it sure looks like a nifty little camera.

Looks like a Leica! If the price is right it will be hard for me to resist. I have a Panasonic LX3 and G1 -- the EVF is great on the G1. I do get excited about P&S cameras and am always looking for the 'perfect' one. Leica X1 would be great except I would feel foolish & be broke at the price
