Gadwall

Gadwall, this is one of my favourite ducks, I think the Gadwall has the most gorgeous looking plumage, the way the scalloped breast feathers merge into fine lines on the flanks is beautiful.

Processed in DPP / CS2 ( a couple of small blemishes removed from the waters surface )

1/1250th @ f8 -1/3rd iso400

Any critique most welcome and thanks for looking.

I like the small bow wave and the reflection is just about perfect.
Well done.

Pleased you like it guys

Hi Paul, this part of the lake is in a very sheltered spot, with reedbed protecting it from the wind.

Hello Andy.

Beautifully captured and that reflection is superb also like the composition with the bird swimming at a slight angle coming across the frame.
