The extremely pale straw legs stand out for me and are normally wrong for a Chiffy - to be honest I'm not sure what the id is for this without a better side on view, as the straw legs are just so pale for any normal UK warbler I've seen, its also seems to have a very poor supercilium/eye stripe - was it calling?

I like the POV on this one Oscar, the head on view looks good to me, as for the id, I'll leave that to the pros.

Looks somewhat like a Willow Warbler but i have to agree with Mike that the tripe above the eye is not very visible and the legs are very light colored.

I originally thought that it was a Whitethroat, but another birder told me it was a chiffy so I just left it at that - I have to say I wasn't convinced.

Hi Oscar,

Nice shot, like the head on pose! I'm pretty convinced this is a Reed Warbler, do you have any with the head side on?

Cheers,

Lewis.

Hello Oscar.

Love this and I really like the way the little bird seems to taking shelter under those leaves.

Not to sure on the ID but Chifchaff usually have black legs.
