Wildflowers, Carson Pass
I'm posting another image from my wildflower
trip to Carson Pass in August. In post-
processing I sharpened somewhat, decreased
the highlights, and burned some bright areas.
As always, I appreciate your reactions. Thank
you.

I find this comp very pleasing Robert, the sweeping line of color leads my eye through the scene.
Always love the lines and textures of the corn lily too. :toast:

Having been to Carson Pass at probably the same time, I seem to feel a need to always say something. I like the pink color of the paintbrush in the front of the photo and like Michael I like the curving line of flowers a lot. The one thing I would try is to lighten the darks a little a little bit and see if you can get a hint of the foliage in those areas. Nice composition in very difficult light.

A truly wonderful array of wildflowers from this area again, Robert. You sure seemed to have found the mother-load of variety out there also.

Robert, this one is the winner from the Carson Pass shots you've been posting.

Sandy's suggestion to open up the low values is a good one, but you'd need to be careful to avoid hurting the very deep blacks.

Good job!

Beautiful composition. Inclusion of all the different plants and flowers really works for me. The flowers in the fg seem a little soft or out of focus for me. Great image.

Robert,

I think your best so far from your adventures on Carson Pass. The colors are just right, the web sharpening is better than previous postings and the processing looks just right to me.

My only nit would be that I'm wishing the paintbrush were a little more in focus - but then we can't have it all... Also, all the flower elements are arranged nicely in an excellent composition.

Well done.

What Lon said! Very nicely done, but I find myself wanting the foreground a little sharper.
