Actually, I have been a member for awhile, but posted my first photo today and have gotten nice input already. I've looked at this site for a long time and feel like I know a lot of you from your photos, stories and comments...The images here are great with many being downright breathtaking. I've viewed many photography sites and often the more advanced photographers talk very condescending to the less talented or experienced. Not so here where everyone seems mature and polite...As for me, I've been doing landscape photography for years, not a pro, but for fun and passion. I am new to digital, photoshop etc. Right now what I like doing is making dvd slideshows with titles and "Ken Burns" movement effects. I am a musician so I like to add my own music. I find it is a nice way to share my photos with friends and family.

You're not alone having moved from film to digital. Even though I still shoot film, it took a good 3 years before I felt the least bit comfortable in PhotoShop - and I'm still learning every day.
