A Bit Jumpy!
Hi all, took this image of a Blue Tit last weekned, from my good friend Geoffrey Baker's Hide. The light was very harsh. All C&C's most welcome, especially on comp. My thoughts were that the bird is looking out of the frame, which in Nature Photography isn't considered good? Many thanks,
Paul Rosser.

The light was very harsh too wasn't it.
I didn't get any as sharp as this though, mine are all destined for the trash can
I like the background

I think the comp works because he is clearly moving up into the frame and looks as if he is running away from something outside of the frame - I like it a lot.

Because of the looking out of the frame pose I feel it may suit a portrait format Paul light looks a tad harsh but you have handled that very well, great detail and a BG to die for   :wavey:

Composition works for me. Very nice shot. :wavey:

I think the composition's fine Paul - the conventions/rules of nature (indeed all) photography are surely there to be broken when the situation suits or demands it
Certainly the harsh lighting didn't do you any favours, particularly on the lichens on the upper part of the branch but you've handled it well in my opinion.
I especially like the fact that the bird is in mid-air - nicely timed :toast:

Nice blue tit shot, looks to be looking over his shoulder as he arrives in frame, so works for me ;)
