Rocks in a puddle
Taken at Nash Point on the Heritage Coast, South Wales, UK.

There are some lovely puddles on this beach and the trick is to get there as the tide is going out before people walk all over the sand and ruin the patterns.

Probably used a 2 stop ND grad, can't remember

Beautuful shot Geoffrey, I like how the sunlight is being reflected by the lefthand rock in the pool and also the reflected sky, top landscape and no nits from me.

Very nice indeed. The composition is particulary well though out.

Very impressive indeed. I like the darker reflection in the pool.

Stand aside Adam, this is one of Geoffrey's. Whos this Adam bloke anyway?

Like the composition and very nice light too. I think you made the most of the opportunity.

Have you got any before the sun came up?

Thanks everyone

It was sunset Ian and the tide was coming in fast, this puddle was soon submerged and the sunset fizzed out into nothing as often happens :frown:

This place is local to me and I'll get a similar shot one day on the back tide maybe, with a nice red sunset, it's on my hit list

Really fantastic image. The composition leads you right through the image from front, to the right then back across to the left. I love it! :toast:

Been back to this several times. Great image. Wish I lived near the coast. Oak trees are boring !

This should be used as a prime example of how to compose for foreground impact.
