Barn owl (c) + repost
I am still busily processing images from my bird of prey day, now nearly a month ago, but this is from the final card, so I am getting there!

I have this shot with the entire footpath sign in, but much prefer this version with the owl much larger in the frame.

Look far too natural to be anything but wild.....good work!

Great detail, nice composition and lovely BG. Like the unusual perch. Captive or not it looks very natural. :wavey:

Hello David.

Lovely lookiong image and the composition is spot on for me.

I might just boost the colour a little give some more life as it just feels a little flat, but I do like my colour so if just be me.

Thanks for your comments everyone. Guy, I was just coming to the same conclusion looking at the picture on my work monitor, so here is the same shot with a slight increase in saturation and a slight warming of the colour balance.

The day itself was cloudy and dull, but although this resulted in flat images it did at least have the advantage of resolving a lot of feather detail in the whites.

well composed David. I do prefer the repost but think you could go a bit further in terms of saturation and warming the white balance.

Hi David,

Captive shots don't normally float my boat David, but this is one of the best I have seen in a long time, the shot looks so natural and if we didn't know we would say it was a wild capture, top shot.
