Aren't they just, but this is a fine environmental image of one.
I take it he had clocked you?
In the Peak these guys hide in around the top moors only venturing down if the winter is really harsh like last year - it makes an image like this a hard found prize.

You bet he had! I was hunkered down in the rock outcrop he was heading towards. Most of the shots show a pair of ears only!

A great photo, it's difficult to hide a whopping 600mm lens and tripod no doubt
He's got his eye on you.
Well done.

I'd love to get images of these. Love the pose and the highlighting of the hares environment. Just a pity he wasn't hard of hearing like my brown hare

Hello Ian.
Lovely enviroment capture and the composition is good. I would just tone down the bright spot in front of the Hare.

Nice to see and a while since I tried getting any up in Scotland. They are frustrating... but some can be very confiding, until something upsets them, then they're off.

I think the fact this one is so wary has enhanced the image Ian. I think the composition works really well with just a part of the hare visible.

For me, wariness defines this animal. You have captured that perfectly here.
