Full Moon
Tonight's moon was quite an improvement from last night, although I wish the sun hadn't gone behind a thick bank of clouds so soon. Anyone else out tonight?

I like the scene, Bill. I didn't feel like fighting the wind 2 nights in a row. I went out Wednesday evening and faced 20+ mph winds with gusts to 40 mph or so. Didn't get alot obviously.

Great composition.
Too bad about the sun but it appears to have yielded a subtle pink-tone to the moon.
The horizontal clouds break the moon's circular pattern in a very pleasing way.
The vertical white lines of the trees give a connection to the moon.
I like!

Sweet, I'm loving the look of the images your getting with the d3x.

Looks nice Bill. I assume this is a single exposure, what focal length did you shoot this at?

Thanks guys.

Ed, it's nice to know that you're seeing a difference with the D3x. I would hate to think I'd thrown all that money into a camera for nothing.

Wayne, this was a single exposure with a 400/3.5 attached. I've been saving for a 200-400 VRII, but it's going to be a few months.

Beautiful shot Bill. I really like the clouds in front of the moon in this shot, gives it something unique IMO.
